Manzana Creek Erosion Control and Sediment Reduction Plan

Manzana Creek Erosion Control and Sediment Reduction Plan

Project Overview

A National Fish and Wildlife Fund (NFWF) Wildfire Restoration Grant Program grant allowed us to partner with Pacific Watershed Associates (PWA) on post-fire restoration planning in the Manzana Creek area. This involved assessing 51.40 miles of roads and fuel breaks to identify sediment sources and propose treatments. Reducing erosion into the Manzana, which is a tributary to the Sisquoc River/Santa Maria River benefits endangered Steelhead trout, especially post-fire.
