Carmel River Habitat Enhancement

Carmel River Habitat Enhancement

Project Overview

In partnership with the Carmel River Steelhead Association, the California Conservation Corps and Stillwater Sciences, the project provided designs and installed large woody debris structures to enhance shelter for migrating Steelhead trout in the Carmel River Lagoon. Partially constructed log/boulder structures were flown into the lagoon by helicopter to avoid impacts to the sensitive habitat.
