Meet Our People
Marysia Borucinska-Begg
Education & Community Outreach Manager
Biography
Marysia (she/her) was born on Nipmuc and Pequot-Mohegan lands. Growing up along the Fenton River cultivated a deep affinity for exploring watersheds, and our sense of place as a medium for restoring socio-ecological relationships in the context of a changing climate. While earning degrees in Environmental Studies and Human Rights with a focus on conservation ecology from the University of Connecticut, Marysia served as a restoration Corpsmember across the Southwest and conducted biocultural conservation research in Chile’s Magellanic Region. For the last five years Marysia has conducted outdoor education programs in the Northeast and California. She’s an advocate for play and place based learning in creating regenerative relationships to our environment, communities, and life purpose. The best part is – that’s her job! Her personal praxis of this includes participating in a communal living project, and experimenting within her local food system through grazing and plant stewardship.
