Biography
Adam Poelman is CLC’s newest science intern, focusing his work on subsurface geology in the Stenner Creek Watershed. Using geophysics, he is helping improve our understanding of surface–subsurface hydrology to guide better water management and enhance critical steelhead trout rearing and spawning habitat. Adam is a senior in Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Environmental Earth and Soil Sciences Department, with a concentration in geology. A Central Coast native, he is passionate about applying geologic and geomorphic analysis to support watershed restoration and conservation. Outside of academics, Adam enjoys surfing, mountain biking, and exploring the Central Coast in search of unique rock outcrops.
